Celebrating LGBT+ Adoption & Fostering Week with Three Circles Fostering & Manchester Laces

At Three Circles Fostering, LGBT+ Adoption & Fostering Week is more than a date in the calendar — it reflects who we are and what we stand for.

We are proud to champion equality, inclusion and opportunity in fostering. This week shines a spotlight on the vital role LGBTQ+ individuals and couples play in providing safe, loving homes for children and young people who need them most.

It’s also why we are incredibly proud to sponsor Manchester Laces — a club whose values align so closely with our own.

Why LGBT+ Adoption & Fostering Week Matters

Across the UK, there is a significant need for more foster carers. LGBTQ+ carers already make an enormous difference, but more are urgently needed.

At Three Circles Fostering, we actively welcome and support foster carers from the LGBTQ+ community. What matters most is your ability to provide stability, care, understanding and commitment.

Children need belonging. They need acceptance. They need someone who shows up consistently.

Those are values that transcend identity — and they are values we see lived out every day within inclusive communities like Manchester Laces.

Why We Sponsor Manchester Laces

Our sponsorship of Manchester Laces is rooted in shared belief.

Manchester Laces are proudly inclusive of all women, non-binary and transgender people. They are inclusive of all football abilities. And, as anyone who has met them knows — they are really friendly.

Their ethos is simple and powerful:

Social. Development. Fun. Friendships.

Their leadership describes inclusion like this:

“To me, being inclusive is about everybody feeling welcome. It’s about creating an atmosphere and a club that everybody feels comfortable being involved in no matter your goal tally, your skill or your experience. As we’re growing we want to make sure we’re creating a space for everyone. When you become part of the Laces family you should never feel like an outsider.”

That idea — you should never feel like an outsider — is exactly what fostering should feel like for a child.

Our Mission at Three Circles Fostering

At Three Circles Fostering, our mission is to create safe, nurturing and empowering homes where children can grow, heal and thrive.

We believe in:

  • Creating inclusive spaces

  • Championing equality and diversity

  • Supporting carers with training and guidance

  • Empowering children to reach their full potential

By sponsoring Manchester Laces, we are investing in a community that actively removes barriers — just as we work to remove barriers to fostering.

Community matters. Representation matters. Visibility matters.

When young people see inclusive spaces thriving — in sport, in families, in communities — it reinforces a powerful message: you belong.

Could You Become a Foster Carer?

This LGBT+ Adoption & Fostering Week, we’re asking:

Have you ever thought about fostering?

You don’t need to be married.
You don’t need to own your home.
You don’t need to have children already.

You do need:

  • A spare bedroom

  • Time, patience and commitment

  • The desire to make a lasting difference

We warmly welcome enquiries from LGBTQ+ individuals and couples. Our team will support you every step of the way — from initial enquiry through training, approval and beyond.

Fostering changes lives. Including yours.
