A Year in Three Circles: Reflections, Success Stories, and Hope for 2026

Highlights of Our Year at Three Circles Fostering

Fostering event in Yorkshire

Before we look forward, we want to pause and celebrate the milestones, achievements, and moments of growth that made this year truly special for our agency and our fostering community.

🌟 Growing Our Team and Strengthening Our Support

This year we were delighted to welcome new members across our administration, youth engagement, and social work teams. Each new colleague brings fresh experience, passion, and energy—further strengthening the therapeutic, family-run heart of Three Circles Fostering.

Their arrival ensures we can continue offering the highest level of trauma-informed support, and it also reflects the ongoing growth and vibrancy of our agency.

🌟 A Rising Number of Foster Carers Joining Our Family

One of our trips this year

One of the most encouraging developments this year has been the number of carers who have:

  • Transferred to us from other agencies, recognising our warm, family-centred ethos

  • Registered as brand-new foster carers, beginning their journey with Three Circles Fostering

This growth allows more children to experience the safety, nurturing relationships, and therapeutic parenting approach that our carers provide so well.

🌟 A Huge Year for Training and Professional Development

Foster carers and staff together completed hundreds of training courses—a fantastic achievement!

This included:

  • In-person workshops

  • Specialist therapeutic training

  • Trauma-informed practice

  • PACE-focused sessions

  • And a huge number of modules completed through our online learning platform

Your dedication to learning is a direct investment in the children you care for—and it shows in the incredible outcomes we see every day.

🌟 Growth of Our Connect Youth Group

Connect Youth Group at Three Circles

Our Connect Youth Group has flourished this year, offering teenagers a safe, fun, and empowering space to build friendships, express themselves, and be part of a wider community.

The most exciting news? We’re planning a two-night retreat for our secondary-aged young people in 2026—a therapeutic, adventure-filled experience we know will be transformative.

🌟 Family Events Across Multiple Regions

This year was rich with opportunities for families to come together, have fun, and create positive shared memories.

Across our regions, we enjoyed:

  • Farm trips

  • Ice skating

  • Roller disco sessions

  • Kayaking adventures

  • Aqua park days

  • Outdoor activities and nature walks

  • Seasonal celebrations

  • And so much more!

These events help strengthen our community, reduce isolation, and allow children to experience the joy and belonging they deserve. As we reach the end of another year, we find ourselves pausing to reflect on the journey shared by our foster carers, children, young people, and the whole Three Circles Fostering family.

Design by a Three Circles young person this year

Fostering is never simply a “role” or a “placement”—it is a relationship, a commitment, a daily act of compassion and belief. This year, our Three Circles family has shown remarkable resilience, creativity, stability, and love.

So today, we want to celebrate you—your achievements, your dedication, and the difference you make every single day.

Celebrating Three Circles

Every carer in our family-run agency plays a vital part in building safety, trust, and positive attachment for our children. Behind every triumph stands a carer who kept showing up—even on the hard days.

This year we’ve celebrated:

  • Carers who created secure routines that helped children settle after years of instability

  • Welcoming many new families just starting on their fostering journey

  • Carers who advocated fiercely for children’s educational and health needs

  • Families who co-regulated through meltdowns, transitions, and moments of fear

  • Sibling groups who were able to stay together because of your commitment

  • Young people who have felt a sense of belonging for the first time

  • A growing carer base across both the North West and Yorkshire

To our incredible foster carers:

Thank you for your patience, your presence, your late nights, early mornings, endless reassurance, courage, and commitment. Thank you for the times you held space for big feelings, for the meals cooked, the meetings attended, the boundaries held with love, and the moments of playfulness even on stressful days.

To our social work, admin and engagement team:

Thank you for working tirelessly behind the scenes to ensure every child receives the therapeutic, trauma-informed care they deserve.

And to the children in our care:

You inspire us every day with your resilience, humour, honesty, creativity, and hope. We are honoured to support you.

Our hopes and goals for 2026 include:

🌟 Expanding therapeutic support so every carer feels confident and equipped
🌟 More child-led activities and participation opportunities
🌟 Increasing the use of trauma-informed tools, including apps, resources and specialist training
🌟 Growing our family of carers with people who share our values
🌟 Strengthening stability and long-term connections
🌟 Creating more opportunities for joy, play, and belonging

2026 will bring new challenges and new triumphs—but we move into it with strength, clarity, and an unwavering commitment to children and young people.
