Our Catalyst Youth Group

Hello and thank you so much for taking the time to read about our amazing youth forum at Three Circles Fostering. This group is an empowering forum for a group of dynamic young minds who gather every half term on Google Meet. In this blog post, we will be sharing with you all of the experiences and achievements of our members over the past six months.

Cultivating creativity: At Catalyst, we like to be creative and we have been so impressed by the amount of art work produced by the group over the course of our meetings. From crafting affirmation cards that serve as words of encouragement to designing festive Christmas cards that spread joy and cheer, our members have honed their artistic skills while fostering a sense of connection and empathy within the group.

Here are some of the xmas cards the group have created, along with a selection of the affirmation cards:

Forging identity: Central to our sense of unity and belonging is the creation of the Catalyst logo— a symbol of solidarity and shared purpose. Through collaborative efforts, our members designed and brought to life a visual representation of our collective identity, embodying the values of inclusivity, respect, and empowerment. Additionally, the Catalyst code poster stands as a testament to our commitment to fostering a safe and respectful environment, outlining the principles that guide us.

Celebrating Success: Acknowledging the importance of recognising and celebrating achievements, Catalyst Youth Group has proudly created custom achievement cards, serving as tokens of recognition for milestones reached and goals attained. By celebrating each other's successes, we cultivate a culture of support and affirmation, empowering every member to strive for excellence and reach their full potential. We have turned these cards into agency wide cards, so any time we are told of a young persons achievement, a card is posted out to them, made by one of the Catalyst group members!

As we reflect on the past six months, it is evident that Catalyst Youth Group have had a huge impact on Three Circles. We are proud that everything we do as a group is co-produced, the young people come up with future projects to work on and we support them to get projects finished. The next group meet up will be to do a collaborative Easter craft whilst also supporting us to create a child centred safety plan.
