Can I foster if I have a criminal conviction?

You may have a criminal record and think about fostering but discount this as an option. Having a criminal record may not be an automatic barrier to becoming a carer. The most important thing is that you are open and honest with us about your past offences.

There are offences that would barr you from fostering children, part of your assessment involves assessment of the risk your past offences pose and Three Circles would make a decision regarding your suitability as a foster carer.

The best thing to do, if you have any questions is to contact one of our friendly team. Be open and honest with us about your circumstances and we will answer any questions you have about your suitability to foster.

Or check out the video below for some more information on fostering with a past criminal conviction.
