We want to shout this statistic so loud.

Since the early 2000's statistics on how many care leavers make it to university have been incredibly low. Ranging from 1% to a more recent 6%. These bleak statistics show that if you are a care leaver, you are 6 times less likely to go to University.

The national average is around 50% which really puts those low numbers into perspective. This year, 33% of the year 13's we care for earned a place at uni. This is incredible! It goes to show that with love, support and encouragement to achieve your dreams then there is no reason why a young person cannot reach them.

At Three Circles we celebrate achievements and support a young person to achieve their ambition, whatever that may be. No one person is more important than the other, and no ambition is less important than the other.

If you want to find out more about supporting a young person through to university please contact your NT&AS teacher and check out the propel and NNECL websites.
