Madlug - helping children in care carry their lives with dignity
Three Circles Fostering supports other organisations working with children and young people, with significant charitable donations. These donations are made unconditionally, and not to promote our own commercial interests.
Our chosen charities are listed below and can be viewed by clicking the link at the bottom of this post. This year, we have also raised money for Macmillan cancer support, Children in Need, Save the Children and the Seashells Trust.
Drop in events, fostering in Yorkshire!
We wanted to draw your attention to this fantastic charity. They produce bags for children in care. More often than not, children in care put all their worldly belongings in a bin bag as they move from one place to the next.

Steps to fostering with Three Circles
Yes! As long as you can provide a warm, nurturing and stable environment for a child or young person, you may have what we are looking for! The process to becoming a foster carer can be intense, it is the same process for all people (no matter how they identity). Everybody’s journey to becoming a foster carer is an individual one, and one that we will take with you every step of the way.
And the award goes to….
A huge amount of foster carers are needed nationwide to care for children and young people in need of a stable and nurturing home.
Raft Building Day!
Three Circles Fostering awards season hit its apex Sunday afternoon with the 1st annual Awards ceremony. The nominations have been trickling in since January and it was time to announce the winners. Going into the evening there was a lot of speculation over just who would win the coveted special recognition awards.
Foster carers needed in the Yorkshire area
Picture this. A cold grey morning, you wake up, then remember that you’d decided to plan a Prince’s Trust event at a water park…
Luckily on the drive to Sale water park, the weather began to brighten up and the minute we all had our wet suits on we couldn’t wait to get in the water to cool down!

Prince's Trust group makes some artwork for younger children!
This Summer we welcomed two work experience students to work with us for a week.
They were such a valuable addition to the team. They created lots of resources for us, including this video to promote the Prince’s Trust scheme.
Take a look!
Assessing and supporting trans foster carers and adopters
Three Circles young people created a fantastic piece of wall art for younger children. They made an octopus and fitted it with lots of fantastic resources.
They all achieved a certificate from the Prince’s trust for doing something for others in the community.
Well done to all involved. The octopus is now up on the wall in the young people’s room in the office. Take a look when you’re next in!

Supporting LGBT young people in care - a video with advice from young people
We are so incredibly proud of the hard work and achievement of the Prince's Trust KICup team! They worked so hard to create a video for this years Childnet film competition. They showed excellent team work skills, acting and had fantastic ideas. The film was all about connecting online with respect.
We hope to have the video on the site soon - we are just awaiting consents from various places! Certificates and letters of achievement are in the post to all those that were involved. Give yourselves a big pat on the back, you deserve all the praise you can get for this incredible achievement!
Foster Care Fortnight
On Saturday the 9th July 2018 the KIC-out group met at the Proud Trust. This group is all about giving young people who identify within the lgbt umbrella a voice and to share best practice to professionals in caring settings.
The video they put together is fab! It can be viewed by clicking read more. Please share with social workers, carers and anybody else you think would benefit from watching it!
Accept Adapt Achieve
It has been a busy Foster Care Fortnight here at Three Circles.
The overarching message of Foster Care Fortnight is 'foster care transforms lives'.
We are passionate about the difference that foster care makes to the lives of fostered children and young people, and Foster Care Fortnight is an excellent opportunity to showcase that difference. But foster care doesn't just transform the lives of the young people who are fostered, it also has the power to change the lives of foster carers, their families and all those who are involved in fostering.
We had lots of fun at the office creating a short video to showcase what makes us proud to support fostering. You can view it below........
County Lines Leaflet
Some advice for all people working with children and young people. Three simple words that can help us all make life better in many different ways especially when young people or other adults do not live within the norms that we may have grown used to.
Accept Adapt Achieve
Prince's Trust Director's Award Delivered to the KICup Group!
With so many stories about County Lines and gangs in the press and on social media, no one could blame any parent or caregiver for being concerned about it – wondering what to look out for and what they can do. This leaflet has been designed to give parents, guardians and caregivers the information they need.
Download the leaflet 'Going Country' below for some useful information.
Transfer to Three Circles
Wow! What a day it has been today. Seven young people attended an event today at Challenge 4 Change in Trafford Park. The young people were surprised by a visit from the Regional Director of the Prince's Trust. They were selected for the Director's award out of 10,000 entries and WON!
She spoke at length about how impressed she was by the achievements of the group. We could not be prouder of the work the young people do for the wider Three Circles family. They have all shown incredible creativity and teamwork skills and thoroughly deserve this award!
Bake Sale for Sports Relief 2018!
Three Circles will not bribe you with money to persuade you to change agencies and join our family of foster carers. In fact, if you are well supported and happy where you are, it would be our sincere wish that you to remain exactly where you are.
However, we will happily speak to any foster carers who feel undervalued, poorly supported and perhaps rather anonymous within their present organisation. If you do decide to join us, you will be considered an equal with everyone already here at Three Circles. This agency is wholly inclusive, and foster carers are our friends as well as our colleagues. It is also a happy agency and a lot of fun to be part of.
This week the office has been raising money for sports relief!
We had a bake sale on Tuesday and raised over £200, thanks to all the carers for getting involved!
We also have a team doing a stepathon challenge, we are counting up all our steps so by the end of Friday we have walked the same distance as London to Paris!
