Music in Hospitals - lovely feedback!
Hi all, a lot of you will know that we went to London last week to deliver a speech at the All-Party Parliamentary Group for Looked After Children and Care Leavers. The theme of this meeting was lgbt youth in care - a topic we know quite a lot about. Become (the charity for children in care and young care leavers) wrote a wonderful blog after the event, it can be read below…. or by following this link
LGBT History Month... don't miss this fab resource!
Hi, as a lot of you already know, we support charities and community groups, with significant charitable donations. These donations are made unconditionally, and do not promote our own commercial interests.
One of the charities we support is Music in Hospitals. Their mission is to improve the quality of life for adults and children with all kinds of illness and disability through the joy and therapeutic benefits of professionally performed live music in hospitals, hospices, day care centres, special school, nursing and residential homes.
It is NSPCC number day!
LGBT History Month is celebrated in February in the UK. Each year, The Proud Trust (who are fabulous) teams up with Schools OUT UK and LGBT History Month to write a simple, easy to use, education and resource pack.
It is FREE to download from this page https://www.theproudtrust.org/training-and-education/education-resources/lgbt-history-month/
It's young carers awareness day!
It is NSPCC number day. Lots of schools are getting involved to raise money.
We wanted to use this opportunity to remind everybody of the Childline number, 0800 1111
Each year Carers Trust organises Young Carers Awareness Day.
The purpose of the day is to raise public awareness of the challenges faced by young people because of their caring role, and to campaign for greater support for young carers and their needs.
This year’s Young Carers Awareness Day will take place on Thursday 31 January 2019.

Foster carers needed in the Yorkshire area
Picture this. A cold grey morning, you wake up, then remember that you’d decided to plan a Prince’s Trust event at a water park…
Luckily on the drive to Sale water park, the weather began to brighten up and the minute we all had our wet suits on we couldn’t wait to get in the water to cool down!

Prince's Trust group makes some artwork for younger children!
This Summer we welcomed two work experience students to work with us for a week.
They were such a valuable addition to the team. They created lots of resources for us, including this video to promote the Prince’s Trust scheme.
Take a look!
Assessing and supporting trans foster carers and adopters
Three Circles young people created a fantastic piece of wall art for younger children. They made an octopus and fitted it with lots of fantastic resources.
They all achieved a certificate from the Prince’s trust for doing something for others in the community.
Well done to all involved. The octopus is now up on the wall in the young people’s room in the office. Take a look when you’re next in!
